Edu Monteiro is an artist and researcher, with a doctorate and post-doctorate in Arts from UERJ and a master's degree in Art Science from UFF, with training in Arts and Visual History from the Jeu de Paume Museum in Paris. His works are part of collections such as those of MAM-RJ and MNBA. Author of books such as Vertical Landscape and Sensory Self-Portrait, he is vice-leader of the LAPA research group (UERJ) and winner of the Funarte Marc Ferrez Photography Prize (2021). He has held exhibitions in Brazil and abroad, including China, standing out for projects that investigate body, image and sensoriality in contemporary art.
