 In this series by Xico Chaves, matter gains volume, reflecting and distorting light, attributing symbolic dimension to the textual body. Xico continues an investigation in which he uses polypropylene as raw material and the action of fire to create multidimensionality, making us reflect on the use of plastic, its resistance, and its presence in the environment. It can be seen as translucent objects into which the artist meticulously inserts words of African and indigenous origin.
