Painting on Portuguese cobblestones
Each set consists of 3 Portuguese stones, black or white, individually painted with the syllables EU, VO, CÊ.
The color of each set is selected randomly at the time of purchase.
In 2006, invited by Felipe Taborda to the exhibition *A Imagem do Som* (The Image of Sound ), the artist created a work inspired by the song *Eu e Você * (You and Me) by Vinícius de Moraes and Carlos Lyra. After several attempts to poetically represent the theme, he found inspiration in the Portuguese cobblestones of Ipanema, imbued with the history and footsteps of Brazilian musicians and poets. From them, he produced the work *Eu e Você *—two stones, one black and one white, joined by cement—a symbol of union and duality. Over time, the artist began to imprint the letters "EU VO CÊ" (I VO CÊ) on them using stencils, creating trinkets of unique stones that evoke pairs and contrasts of culture and life—black and white, man and woman, Brazil and Portugal, samba and bossa nova—resulting in a poetic and open game of meanings, expanded into photo-poems and micro-installations that explore the infinite possibilities of union and separation.
